The Story of Hidur Gallery

How Hidur began

Hidur began its work abroad in 2004, when Mr Edri sold artworks by a range of artists. In 2005, the activity expanded into a gallery presenting works by established and talented artists, including Arkady Ostritsky, known for realistic oil paintings of biblical events and places; Jonathan Kor, known for precise technical-pen work; Alex Levin, Flerova, Denis Boukris and others.

Founder Oren Edri recognised a growing interest in authentic, carefully made art. The gallery's varied collection and styles give each visitor an opportunity to find a personal connection with a work.

Artists also approached the gallery looking for a professional place to exhibit and sell their creations. Hidur sees its role as providing a platform for both established and emerging artists from Israel and abroad.
